QA/QC for Detailed Design |

| |
Introduction:
Quality control in detailed design
is an important part of QA/QC before any construction starts,
it contains relevant information in regard to the exact owner’s
specifications and requirement, design consideration, local
codes and regulations that need to be adopted.
|

| |
Scope of
the work: The scope of the design work includes the
principle of the design, relevant standards and codes adopted.
The various aspects for mechanical equipment, electrical equipment
and instrumentation and any pertinent systems are thoroughly
considered. These constitute the design parameters of the
intended work.
|

| |
Schedule:
A schedule is produced to reflect the activities that need
to be completed in a defined timeframe. |

| |
Implementation:
Related parties or representatives from Owner, Consultant,
Prime Contractor, and AIRCO are involved at the detail design
kick–off meeting if possible. All the parties at the
meeting should determine related monitoring system and design
reviewing system. Comments from the client’s side after
the design reviewing are incorporated in the detailed design. |
